"The national debut of Lucas Miller is a reason to celebrate. The nine songs on this joyous album feature environmental themes, with a focus on U.S. wildlife, and combine educational information, hysterical lyrics and catchy tunes. . . Miller has a gift for cool satire that even older kids won't be able to scoff at." ~School Library Journal
The
Anaconda La Bamba!Since its release in 2000, this CD has become somewhat of a classic; frequently loaned between families and educators (and not always getting returned)! While Living In a Wetland and Send Them Back Home to Brazil (The Fire Ant Song), are hugely popular, the title track is still Lucas' "calling card." Two of San Antonio's finest producers gave the songs a modern, professional sound. The songs are performed in a variety of styles including Tejano, rap, surf-rock, funk and all-out rock 'n' roll! Lucas features several of these songs in his programs for middle- and upper-elementary age students. The songs touch on a variety of endangered species issues with an emphasis on what people are doing to protect them and why. ►Parents' Choice Awards: "Recommended" ►Children's Music Web Awards: "Best New Artist for Older Children" |
